The Green Chair Gift Shop offers a wide variety of locally hand crafted, eco-friendly gifts created from salvaged, recycled and sustainable materials. We are currently selling works by artists from Bellingham to Portland. Due to the nature of the ever changing supply of salvaged materials most of the gifts are also one-of-a-kind!

Children’s Apparel by X Marks the Tot
Fun and functional clothing for babes and tots. Made from recycled tees, each piece comes with a matching hat! Suits can also be custom made from your own t-shirt. Sizes: Infant-1 and 1-2 years.

Estrella Soaps
Estrella soaps are hand-crafted in small batches using high quality vegetable oils and aromatic essential oils. The result is a wide variety of unique bars. Unlike commercial soaps, Estrella uses no animal ingredients or artificial fragrances, all natural and vegan.

Eye Pop Art
Home decor and accessories made from vinyl records, and painted with unique, eye-catching designs. The records are heated then molded into bowls and bracelets. Vinyl record wall clocks and mandala suncatchers are also available.

MR Jacks Lamp Company
Unique lighting and distinct garden art made from new and recycled lamp parts and other found objects. MR Jacks functional creations include vintage vases, garden scepters, lamps, sun catchers, and bird feeders.

Ricicli Kids
Infant and toddler clothing for both boys and girls. 1 adult-sized article of clothing makes 2-3 child size pieces. Each piece is crafted with care, detailed with fun designs, funky buttons, and unique embellishments.

Bill Conkle
Uniquely carved wooden pieces crafted from salvaged wood from downed trees on the artist’s property. A lathe is used for carving functional wooden pieces and aesthetic home decor from tree trunks and wood scraps.

Monica Dahle
Wall art made from salvaged paper, dyed and hand-painted specialty paper, featuring organic designs. Bowls made from recycled paper, egg cartons, cereal boxes, and newspaper.

TrilbyMade
Hand cut from quality recycled leather, these reversible cuffs feature an open, lattice like design that wrap the wrist like a second skin. Reversible necklaces cut in the shape of animals are also available. All pieces made from salvaged leather scraps.

Red Barn Woodworks
Hand-crafted salvaged pieces of wood and hardware, shaped into one-of-a-kind home decor. Inspired by family and her childhood environment, D’Arcy Hyde shows her appreciation for wood in all its diversity, re-crafting discarded wood scraps into beautiful pieces.

Mugwump
Handbags made from damaged board games and children’s books, plastic-coated snap wallets made from book pages. Also available by this artist: billfolds and passport covers made from maps, salvaged vinyl, placemats, and notepads made from old recipe cards.

Torus Leather
Reclaimed leather crafted into wrist cuffs, with custom stitching and added embellishments. A “torus” is a 3D ring, and this self-taught artist began his craft with link jewelry, then began working with second-hand leather goods, belts, purses, and coats.

Dolls for Friends
Custom, one-of-a-kind plush pieces, hand-sewn using salvaged fabrics. This husband and wife design team work as collaborators on a wide variety of art-based projects, including this line of plush friends – they make great gifts for adults or children!

Cute Girl Creations
Broken china and tile artistry with sterling metalwork. Pendants made from broken pieces of china dishes and pottery, and hand-painted pieces of tile. Unique one-of-a-kind designs can be worn for any occasion.

Totes 2 Go
Handbags made from reclaimed, repurposed, and remnant fabrics, with a focus on 100% cotton. Wallets and zippered pouches made from salvaged upholstery. Totes are 2 uniquely designed bags in one, can carry up to 25 pounds, and both can fold up into the outer pocket for portability.

Reject Art
Clocks and assemblages, created from “rejected” household items such as tins, coffee pots, tea cups, figurines, and miscellaneous found objects. This “junk” is turned into fun and functional art.

Cam Narayan
Recycled paper notebooks created by Cam Narayan, Fiber Artist. Hand-bound and machine-stitched products made from salvaged materials such as binders, notecards, grid paper, paste paper, calendars, and envelopes.

Note Cards by Sydney Designs
These unique note cards were created with vintage 1930’s-50’s wallpaper, and feature a variety of one-of-a-kind designs within a single pack. Each pack contains 6 cards and 6 envelopes.

Jewelry by Sydney Designs
Rings created using vintage 1930’s-50’s wallpaper. Each includes a vintage button. Pendant necklaces featuring an image from vintage wallpaper designs. Necklaces are reversible – 2 designs in one!

Cards by Otra Vez
Blank cards made from salvaged paper, collage designs printed on recycled paper. Themes include “ A Little Bird Told Me…” and “Lonely Highway” – NW photos printed on recycled paper.

Jewelry by Otra Vez
Hair clips and earrings crafted from salvaged vintage jewelry parts. Hair clips include bobby pins and barrettes attached to decorative fashion pieces and found objects. Earrings are reformed and refinished using vintage earrings and miscellaneous jewelry pieces.

Luminata
Hats and headbands made from salvaged cashmere and wool sweaters, embellished with vintage earrings or buttons. Scarves and arm-warmers made from salvaged cashmere and wool sweaters. Distinct and natural shapes crafted from cashmere, wool and straw.

Jewelry by From a Bug’s Eye View
This product line features bird’s nest pendant necklaces made from salvaged beads and wire, and unique rings made with vintage buttons. These accessories are all hand-crafted, and truly unique!

Wallets by From a Bug’s Eye View
Wallets created from leather scraps, all are hand-crafted, with unique stitching and fold-over design. Each wallet features a hand-stitched star emblem on the front and snap closure on the back.

Who’s It, What’s Its by Plain and Tall
Kids and adults alike will appreciate Who’s It, What’s Its! Great fun for anyone, even your pets. These unique items are made from home spun all-natural wool from local sheep.

These unique scarves are made from home spun all-natural wool from local sheep. It’s amazing how many colors are represented in the all-natural wool, which is not dyed or altered in any way.

Handbags by Plain and Tall
These cute handbags are all handmade, from stylish recycled fabric scraps and remnants. Corduroy fabric and floral prints are matched and juxtaposed in a creative way for functional hand-stitched inner and outer pockets.

Accessories by Simply Scraps
One-of-a-kind items created to use up “every last scrap” of fabric, ribbon, and trim. Vintage doilies embellished with buttons make great hair pins, and felt scraps shaped into flowers make beautiful barrettes! Cute earrings available also.

Magnets and Cards by Simply Scraps
Laminated magnets made from vintage newspaper ad clippings, and salvaged postcards from the early 1900′s, featuring messages from the original sender, made into cards. One-of-a-kind items make great gifts!

Jewelry by Nina
Unique and stylish jewelry made from reclaimed fabric and jewelry pieces. Miscellaneous items such as bullets, rings of various sizes, and other found objects are crafted into wearable art – fun and functional! Bracelets, cuffs, earrings, necklaces, and keychains available.

Candles by Nina
These candles were created with unused candle ends, and embellished with pieces of candy wrappers. Fun for parties or decorative home use. Unique incense holder also available by this artist.

Karen Fabiano
Necklaces and magnets made with salvaged unused bottle caps from over-production, embellished with recycled images from various materials. Also by this artist: greeting cards printed on recycled paper, and coasters featuring images sealed on tile samples.

glam.spoon
Refashioned apparel for women, hand-dyed and embellished. High-quality natural fibers such as cotton, wool and linen, sourced from thrift shops, estate sales, and remnant stores are the raw materials that go into each glam.spoon piece.

Julia Garretson
Handmade paper, blank cards, and gift tags. Made from a variety of materials including egg cartons, blue jeans, cotton T-shirts, fruit crates, lint, junk mail, hemp, leaves, fruitcrates, onion skins, pumpkin, poppy, and some mixed pulps.
